Quaker Worship Practice

Have you ever wondered if there is more to a relationship with God than what you know about God? We often hear that God is a God of love, but sometimes it just doesn't feel like it. And what is prayer except for a lot of words?

If these questions sound familiar to you, join Kathi Gatlin, a spiritual director, to learn how to listen deeply through contemplative prayer practices. She will share how this kind of listening prayer matches how we are invited into a relationship with God.

Quaker Worship is a time to wait in silence together as we hold an intention of listening to what the Spirit might have for us as we gather. Quakers view this as a practice of communion, partaking of Christ as a community. Come and experience this kind of prayer with a community of others interested in listening with one another and God.

Your Guide

Kathi Gatlin

Kathi Gatlin founded Boldly Loved and co-founded the Companioning Center to bring together her two greatest passions: spiritual formation and teaching. In this, she utilizes her DMin. in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from Portland Seminary and her M.Ed. earned through George Fox University.

Her greatest joy is walking alongside others, individually and in groups, in their own spiritual journey, sharing ways of understanding God anew through contemplative prayer and teaching, and to see them grow in the depth of their own understanding of who God is and who they are in relationship with God.

Kathi is a spiritual director, supervisor, writer, spiritual formation group facilitator, retreat speaker, and educator. For more information about Kathi, check out boldlyloved.org.
