10-Week Course


Hosting safe groups for the purpose of spiritual formation can be both rewarding and challenging. This course is a group praxis course to walk alongside you as you host a group. We will discuss the components of creating a safe space for vulnerable and sacred conversations. Topics include: creating a group covenant, maintaining safety in the group, handling difficult group dynamics, and closing a group well. 


  • Some background in spiritual formation

  • A small group of 4-8 people willing to participate in your spiritual formation group praxis

What you can expect:

  • Book and/or curriculum recommendations

  • Three required Zoom chats with February 18 being optional.

  • Personalized mentoring with an experienced small-group facilitator

  • Small Class Size

  • Availability by email of course instructor along with the ability to reach out to other course participants via the course site. 

  • Optional one-on-one meeting with a Kathi for an additional suggested donation ($80)  - available online or in person

Our Guide

Kathi Gatlin in an experienced spiritual director and group facilitator. In addition, she has written her own spiritual formation curriculum. Kathi has hosted diverse conversations around spiritual formation in a variety of settings such as: church, para-church, and academic. Her approach is grounded in listening deeply together in the belief that each will discover their own voice as a facilitator. Kathi provides a gracious space to bring your own understandings and your questions as we journey together to become more present in listening to God, ourselves, and others in the transformational journey.
