Meet Our Plenary Speaker

Tracy Busse

Plenary Topic: 

Tracy's Bio

Tracy Busse’s life and work have fueled an ongoing desire to move in harmony with the Trinity and to create spaces where all can encounter intimacy with God.

Tracy is a writer, teacher, counselor, and spiritual director. For over eighteen years, she has provided therapy to children and adult survivors of trauma and human trafficking. She also provides consultation and training to a variety of organizations who serve leaders and marginalized populations. 

Continued growth in Kingdom life and integrating God’s love and presence into her work are the heart of her practice. In addition, Tracy earned a doctorate in Spiritual Direction at Fuller Theological Seminary, which offered the opportunity to enjoy a 30-day Ignatian Retreat. The fruit of this experience continues to grow and reveal greater depths of God’s love and abundant grace.

With the belief that God is in all things, Tracy finds delight on her paddleboard, hiking, playing the guitar, painting, traveling, and resting in the company of fellow image-bearers. Website: https://ashtreecenter.com/

Personal Formation and the Vocation of Companioning

Each Wisdom Circle invites participants to reflect on both their own lived experience and their vocation of companioning others. The questions are designed to hold two movements together:

  1. How am I encountering god in this area of my own life?
  2. How does this shape the way I offer presence, listening, and care to others?

Discernment in Hidden Seasons

When the way forward is unclear in your own life or in the life of someone you companion, what helps you keep listening for God?

Companioning Through Grief

How are you learning to be present to grief — both your own grief and the grief of those you companion?

Hope and Respair

Respair is a rare, obsolete English word that means "fresh hope; a recovery from despair."
Where are you noticing fresh hope in your own life, and how are you learning to recognize it in those you companion?

Becoming Human: Formation and Faithfulness

How is God meeting you in the ongoing work of becoming human, and how does that shape the way you companion others in their own becoming?
