How’s your soul?

When was the last time someone asked you that question?

Can you remember the last time you felt seen and heard in community?

Do you long for a community where your soul is well cared for?

Do you long to go deeper with others - desiring to know what is going on internally with you and learning how to listen with others in that deep space?

Group spiritual direction is just that kind of space. We all, as humans, desire to see and be seen, know and be known, and love and be loved. But how do we do this, especially in such a divided world?

Group Spiritual direction offers a safe space to explore, notice, question, share and listen in company with people who desire similar things. This opportunity is for anyone who would like to grow, engage and listen deeply in a small group hosted by a Spiritual director.

Our approach is compassionate, contemplative, and evocative. During each session we will explore contemplative practices and/or spiritual formation topics along with small group sharing that will deepen your spiritual journey. As your journey is held with honor and care, you will learn to host others in the same manner. Together, we will learn how to trust God to meet each person in their journey, without attempting to fix, judge, or rescue one another.

If you desire to deepen your Spiritual life alongside community, Group Spiritual Direction might be for you. Join us in a five-month commitment to grow deeper together.

Each monthly session will start with a larger group (no more than 16) in a 30-minute session offering a contemplative practice, teaching a spiritual formation topic, or practices that will deepen your spiritual journey. Then, we will break down into small groups of four participants to practice listening to one another. A trained spiritual director will facilitate this 80-minute section.

Kathi Gatlin founded Boldly Loved and co-founded the Companioning Center to bring together her two greatest passions: spiritual formation and teaching. In this, she utilizes her DMin. in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from Portland Seminary and her M.Ed. earned through George Fox University.

Her greatest joy is walking alongside others, individually and in groups, in their own spiritual journey, sharing ways of understanding God anew through contemplative prayer and teaching, and to see them grow in the depth of their own understanding of who God is and who they are in relationship with God.
